New General Manager Joost Joins NL Club

As we shared this spring, Katherine Vos van Liempt is stepping down as our General Manager after seven extraordinary years with the Club. Today we're thrilled to share the next chapter of this story.
We are delighted to announce that Joost Heijmenberg will be joining the NL Club as our new General Manager, starting in August.
Joost brings two decades of corporate, entrepreneurial, and business development experience across both sides of the Atlantic. With his strong relationship building skills, high energy, track record in community involvement and business development, Joost brings the ultimate set of capabilities required to safeguard the heritage of the NL Club as well as bringing it to the next level. He is eager to build on the foundation Katherine leaves behind and to keep growing the vibrant community that makes the NL Club so special.
Joost is no stranger to the NL Club. He moved to NYC in 2017 with his family and knows firsthand what it's like to land in a new environment — navigating a new culture, schools, and daily life with kids in tow. He's experienced how much a strong Dutch community can help you find your footing, feel at home, or simply enjoy a drink among people who share that same sense of home.
Joost's vision for the Club is a simple one: a home for everyone. Whether you just moved here, or have called New York home for decades and want to stay connected to Dutch culture, the Club should be your place — for a drink or a shared experience that brings us together. It's also where we keep our traditions alive and share them across generations, from Koningsdag to the Herring Party to Sinterklaas — celebrations so many look forward to every year. And for those just starting out as a new New Yorker, the Club should be the starting point: a place to find your way, get help, and feel at home while you explore this city we all love.
